La Roncière

The La Roncière Project is located 35km East of Desmaraisville and is accessible via Highway 113 going from Val-d’Or to Chibougamau, Québec. The property consists of 45 contiguous claims covering 25.1km2. In March 2021, Scandium Canada reached an agreement with SOQUEM to acquire its 50% Joint Venture interest in the property, giving Scandium Canada a 100% interest, in exchange for a one and one quarter per cent (1.25%) NSR, which can be acquired by Scandium Canada for $1.25 million in cash at any future date.

The property lies within a major regional NE-SW deformation corridor that hosts several gold occurrences and some former gold producers, the Joe Mann mine (historical past-production 4.8Mt @ 7.56 g/t Au) and the former Bachelor Lake mine (now called the Bachelor-Moroy Deposit with historical past-production 870,000t @ 4.66 g/t Au) located 75km to the east and 35km to the west, respectively. The rocks consist of the mafic volcanics of the Obatogamau Formation, the felsic volcanics of the Wachigabau Member, and the sediments of the Dalime Creek Formation and are stratigraphic equivalents to the Joe Mann South Zone. The contact between these two major units is host to a 40m wide corridor of deformation consisting of several shear zones with strong, pervasive carbonate, sericite, and fuchsite alteration with disseminated pyrite and several quartz veinlets with gold and silver mineralization. Other subsidiary shears or smaller corridors of deformation are also encountered on the property with the same alteration and mineralization with trends varying from east-west, northwest-southeast and northeast-southwest.

Previous work carried out by Lake Opawica Mines, Consolidated Mining and Smelting, La Ronciere Gold Mines, Camchib Resources and Minnova identified the gold Mariposite Deposit (historical resource of 470,000t at 2.75 g/t Au and 211,000t at 4.11 g/t Au), the Espoir, Track, Relique, and Serem gold showings. Recent exploration work conducted by Corporation Miniere INMET, Serem, SOQUEM, and NQ Exploration tested the extensions of some of the known gold showings or discovered a new northeast trending gold showing just north of the Mariposite Deposit (The Serem showing).

Since acquiring the property Scandium Canada Group has not done any exploration work.
